Malaga, Spain
We'd been to this port on the 2015
World Cruise and on the Grand
Med in 2016, so see what we did on those visits.

Olive trees in large planters right outside the cruise terminal
and a bunch of palms in a bed of grasses in a traffic circle there.

An odd sculpture on the lower level of the dock where the stores
are.

The broad promenade includes gardens and sculptures.

This little donkey has been ridden by many children.

The market

You could taste the dragonfruit before buying.

Olives!
A day care facility right next to the market.

This pizzeria sign made us laugh.

We had a nice conversation with this guy, who was carrying olive
tree seedlings.

The green wall in an out-of-the way spot was marked on the map

Beautiful hallway and alcove

This was our goal--the museum of wine. We paid the entrance fee
and then went to the upper floors for a self-guided tour.

Grafting method at ground level.

After our tour on the two upper floors, this display showed some
of the ways the the first 2 cork oak bark harvests are used. They're
not used for wine corks because the tissue is too unorganized.
They've included a piece of the bark to demonstrate.

We enjoyed some nice wine to finish up our tour. At this same
time there was a gathering in this space for Spanish vintners
who were taking a break from a meeting.

We had a lovely conversation with this young vintner who spoke
very good English.

Next to the museum was this church, a brotherhood of vintners.

We took a bus to a botanic garden, but still needed to cross a
bridge and walk along this graffitied area.

We decided that this guy had some talent.

In the garden...

Translucent signs explaining the stories of several local people.

This area was at the edge of a high lookout.

Some of the view...

Along the trail, an agave in full bloom.

It was November, so people were getting ready for a Christmas
show.
Rudolf and some nutcrackers...

The hibiscus says, "I'm pretty without any further decorations."

We loved this large insect sculpture out on an island.

Some tropical pitcher plants were on display.

This graphic outside the garden wall shows the whole garden.

Back in the city...

This wavy pergola guides people back to the cruise ships.
We stayed on the ship in Cadiz, and as previously
stated, we did not stop in the Azores, so I ended up giving 10
presentations on the way back to Ft. Lauderdale.
