New England/ Canada/ Greenland on the Emerald Princess
There was a message on the cruise speakers' group
on Facebook that Princess was looking for a naturalist. After
an email and a phone call, a deal was made for this 17-day cruise
from mid-August into September. We were in Boston 5 days later!
This was our first experience with Princess. It's larger than
any ship we've been on with more than 3,000 passengers.

One thing we really liked was their medallion system. So instead
of keycards, your door unlocks as you approach.
Also, we paired our medallions so that we could find each other
on the ship. Very cool!

That old couple keeps following us around in our travels.

The elegant atrium.

A dining room

This is where some of my presentations were given, others were
in a lounge.
They put on some amazing shows. With a bigger ship, they have
both the facilities and the finances to do so.

There were two pools on the top deck: this big one with the screen
and a smaller one in a space called the Sanctuary where kids were
not allowed.

Looking in in other direction

This informal cafeteria is where we ate and spent most of our
time on board.
